Because Morning Mike cares for the whole listener, and not just your ears, he welcomed Dr. Helene Nguyen, of Feet ’N’ Beyond, with some “Pedicure Pointers.” Through a recent survey, the American Podiatric Medical Association estimates that almost half of all women age 25 and older have received a professional pedicure. Pedicures are quite common, and Dr. Helene said they’re good for you. They promote good foot hygiene – and they make you feel good. Dr. Helen did point out, however, that there are some things to keep in mind. First of all, patients with diabetes or poor foot circulation issues should consult a podiatrist for a customized pedicure to protect your health.
