On Wednesday, Morning Mike got the latest info on events for the Musconetcong Watershed Association with Trustee Michael Fox. The Musconetcong Watershed Association (MWA) is an independent, non-profit organization dedicated to protecting and improving the quality of the Musconetcong River and its Watershed, including its natural and cultural resources. They accomplish this through public education and awareness programs, river water quality monitoring, promotion of sustainable land management practices and community involvement.

The 26th Annual River Clean-up is set for Saturday, April 14th, from 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 Noon. Join other volunteers from Lake Hopatcong to the Delaware, getting the Musky ready for summer recreation fun. Use the phone number, website, or email to learn more and sign up.
On Saturday, April 28th, the MWA hosts its Native Plant Sale at the River Resource Center in Asbury. Shop for native plants and get expert advice on including these plants in your garden and landscaping.
On May 6th, it’s the annual “Run For the River,” a four mile scenic run or walk starting in Asbury, to raise funds the MWA.
Lastly, Michael mentioned “Camp Musky” happening this summer, an educational and fun day camp for kids ages 5 to 12-plus, happening in July and August.
