Probably not – but only because Jill is doing a great job as the Executive Director of the of the Domestic Abuse and Sexual Assault Crisis Center (DASACC) of Warren County. Jill “won” the job of co-hosting with Mike during last month’s RNJ Radio Auction to support Hackettstown Medical Center. Jill experienced all the finer things of being a Morning Program host: waking up every hour because she was afraid to oversleep; drinking really strong coffee hours earlier than anyone else; and bantering with the charming but dangerous Tom Note. Through it all, Jill did a fabulous job, and had a lot of fun along the way.

She also used this opportunity to invite her coworkers from DASACC to share some of the things they are working on for this important organization. We spoke with Pamela Drager, the Senior Manager of Community Engagement about Sexual Assault Awareness Month Activities (April is the month!). Matt Hardy, the Community Education Coordinator talked about Empowerment Day (Sunday, April 8th) and Denim Day (Wednesday, April 25th).

Olivia Hunter, a Sexual Assault Counselor with DASACC, shared a bit about her work, and told us about the “Take Back the Night” event at Centenary University on April 25th. And, we enjoyed hearing from Sue Tepper, DASACC’s Clinical Director, who addressed shelter and counseling options with DASACC.

Rest assured that Morning Mike will continue to be the host of the RNJ Morning Program – but don’t be surprised if you hear from Jill Again soon! In the meantime, if you would like to learn more about DASACC of Warren County, and how you can get involved in serving and volunteering, please visit their website, at dasacc.org, or call their office at 908-453-4121. And please remember the 24 hour helpline: 908-453-4181.
