Hackettstown man jailed after alleged beer bottle attack

HACKETTSTOWN, NJ (Warren County) – A Hackettstown man was jailed after using a broken beer bottle to cut another person in the hand Sunday morning.

Rodrigo Cucul-Pop ,30, was charged with aggravated assault, possession of weapon for unlawful purpose and disorderly conduct.

At around 10:26 a.m., town police responded an apartment on the 100 block of Main St for an unknown problem, police said.

When officers arrived, they observed broken glass all over the kitchen floor, police said.

Through a police investigation, it was determined that Cucul-Pop engaged in a fight with multiple individuals, police said.

Rodrigo allegedly picked up a broken Corona beer bottle and swung it at the victim, causing a cut on the victim’s left palm, police said.

Rodrigo was lodged in the Warren County Correctional Facility.
