ANDOVER TOWNSHIP, NJ (Sussex County) – A 27-year-old Trenton woman was charged with marijuana possession after showing up to municipal court smelling of marijuana, police said.
Bendu Dukuly arrived at Andover Joint Municipal Court on April 10 for a scheduled court appearance, police said.
While checking in and subsequent to a security check, a court officer detected an odor of marijuana on Dukuly, police said.
Dukuly had allegedly admitted to ingesting marijuana earlier in the day. A check of her vehicle revealed a partially used marijuana cigarette, police said.
Dukuly also had an outstanding $500 Newton warrant for her arrest, police said.
Dukuly was charged with possession of under 50 grams of marijuana, suspended driving, possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle. She posted bail on the Newton warrant and was released pending a future court appearance.
