LOPATCONG TOWNSHIP, NJ (Warren County) – The Lopatcong Township Animal Control is searching for answers after a dog was found dead inside a bag along Belview Road on Saturday.
At around 7:00 a.m., a purple carry on sized luggage bag containing a deceased tan and brown shitzu wearing a brown flea collar was found along Belview Road in Lopatcong Township, according to a post on the Lopatcong Township Police’s Facebook page.
The dog was deceased for quite a while making identification difficult. No chip or other identifiable material was found.
If anyone knows of a person who has been harboring a dog by this description and had either expressed a desire to be rid of it or would be likely to do something like this please contact Animal Control, at (908)763-5035.
