Police investigating armed robbery of man in Hackettstown

HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. (Warren County) – Detectives from the Hackettstown police and the Warren County Prosecutor’s office are investigating an armed robbery Monday night in Municipal Lot#3, next to the Moore St Firehouse, in which police said a man was robbed of belongings and money.

Police responded to Marley’s Gotham Grill(169 Main St) at 11:05 p.m. in reference to a male that had been robbed and prior to the arrival of police, the suspect fled the scene, according to a news release.

The victim was assisting a person with a disabled motor vehicle, when the suspect approached him from the back and displayed what the victim said was a gun, police said.

There were items stolen from the victim along with an undisclosed amount of money, police said.
