LAFAYETTE TOWNSHIP, NJ (Sussex County) – Three Pennsylvania residents are facing drug charges and $600 worth of drugs were seized during a traffic stop earlier this month.

Andrew Desher, 28, of Greentown, Matthew Williams, 25, of Holly, and Rylee Smyth, 25, of Hawley were charged with possession of heroin, possession of cocaine, possession of crack cocaine, possession of prescription legend drugs, possesion of drug paraphernalia, possession of hypodermic needles, and criminally under the influence. Desher was also charged with DWI, state police said.

On April 13, at 7:27 p.m., New Jersey State Troopers stopped Desher for a traffic violation in Lafayette Township. During the stop, troopers determined that Desher was under the influence and arrested him for DWI, state police said.

After further investigation, troopers discovered 200 bags of heroin, crack cocaine, cocaine, suboxone, hypodermic needles, and drug paraphernalia inside of the vehicle. The passengers, Williams and Smyth, were then arrested, state police said.

Desher and Williams were released pending a future court date. Smyth was turned over to the Passaic County Sheriff’s Office for an unrelated warrant.
