NEWTON, NJ (Sussex County) – A Pennsylvania man was sentenced to prison after pleading to a shoplifting charge, according to the prosecutor’s office.
Gregory C. Luca Jr, 33, of Dingmans Ferry was sentenced by Honorable William J. McGovern, III at the Sussex County Courthouse in Newton on April 20.
On three separate occasions in 2016, Luca purposely concealed merchandise on his person and exited the Hampton Walmart without purchasing the items.
Luca was sentenced to three years in New Jersey State Prison, ordered to pay fines and fees totaling $155.00 and restitution in the amount of $488.99.
Luca pled guilty on February 27, 2018, to one count of third-degree shoplifting.
