HACKETTSTOWN, NJ (Warren County) – The Hackettstown Business Improvement District’s annual Spring Festival is this weekend, with live entertainment, rides, food, vendors and more.
Here’s what to know before you go.
WHEN IS IT?
Spring Festival runs 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Friday, May 4, noon to 10:00 p.m. Saturday, May 5 and noon to 6:00 p.m. Sunday, May 6.
WHERE IS IT?
It’s held on the fields behind Centenary University on Fifth and Reese Avenues, adjacent to Hatchery Hill Elementary School.
WHAT IS THERE TO DO?
Rides, food, exhibitor tents and live entertainment are among the attractions.
On Saturday, live band performances throughout the afternoon and evening:
1:00 p.m – 2:00 p.m. – Dutch Holler
2:30 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. – Joe Cirotti
4:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. – Andrew Sheldon
5:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. – Brass Roots
7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. – Harry Noble Band
On Sunday, community groups and local performers in the early afternoon.
3:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. – Slattery School of Dance
Mars Wrigley Confectionery will host their tried-and-true array of interactive activities, giving away plenty of their famous candy and snack products. Also, fan favorite soccer kick and door game for free Mars products all weekend.
Hackettstown Medical Center / Atlantic Health will have fun and interactive games, snacks, Atlantic Ambulance tours, blood pressure screenings and giveaways throughout the weekend . On Saturday, Atlantic Health Helicopter 1-3pm (rain date of Sunday May 6th 1-4pm). On Sunday, Teddy Bear Hospital from 1-4pm.
WRNJ will be broadcasting live from the festival, providing a mix of music, interviews, giveaways and fun with on-air personalities and staff.
TICKETS:
Festival admission is free, with a suggested donation for parking. Pre-sale ride tickets: available at Mama’s Restaurant and Cafe Baci, Jack’s Scissor Wiz, Panther Valley Pharmacy, Hackettstown Medical Center’s Foundation Office, and the Hackettstown BID office starting April 13 (30 tickets for $30). Wristbands: Pay one price wristbands for rides will be available for Friday night ($30) and Sunday afternoon ($25). Tickets sold at the booth will cost $2 each. Specials at booth: 22 tickets for $40, 50 tickets for $70.
WHERE CAN I PARK?
Anyone attending should park at Hatchery Hill Elementary School or the school’s field off 5th Avenue, according to town police. Once parking is filled, 5th Avenue will be closed at Grand Avenue. Reese Avenue will be closed for the duration of the festival. Handicapped parking will be along the north side of Fifth Ave and in the Hatchery Hill School parking lot.
WHERE CAN’T I PARK?
There will be no parking on the following streets:
- South side of Fifth Ave from Grand Ave to Hatchery Hill School.
- Both sides of Reese Ave from First Ave to Fifth Ave.
- North side of Fourth Ave from Grand Ave to the Cul-de-sac.
- South side of Robins Ct from Grand Ave to the Cul-de-sac.
- Both sides of Grand Ave.
Any vehicles parked in the NO Parking Zones, in handicapped spots without a handicapped placard/plates or on private property (without permission) will be subject to being ticketed and towed, police said.
Police also said drivers should expect delays on Grand Avenue during the festival.
