HACKETTSTOWN, NJ (Warren County) – Two men are facing drug charges after police find them with MDMA (also called molly, ecstasy) Friday morning, police said.
James Damico, 26, of Sparta Twp, NJ was charged with third-degree possession of MDMA and third-degree possession of cocaine.
Omar Tyler, 29, of Dover, NJ was charged with third-degree possession with intent to distribute MDMA and third-degree possession of MDMA.
At around 12:34 a.m., an officer was on patrolling the Bea McNally’s parking lot, located 109 Grand Ave, when the officer observed a male standing outside a vehicle and appeared to hand something to an occupant inside the vehicle then walk away, police said.
The officer approached the vehicle and observed the driver, who was identified as Damico, allegedly holding a cellophane wrapper containing a brownish rock substance, police said.
Through a police investigation, it was determined that Tyler allegedly gave Damico suspected MDMA. Damico also had in his possession a plastic bag containing suspected cocaine. Tyler also had in his possession a plastic bag containing suspected MDMA.
Damico and Tyler were released pending a court appearance.
