A single ticket sold in New Jersey won the Powerball® jackpot in the May 19 drawing. The winning ticket was sold at Shoprite of Hackensack at 500 South River Street.
The ticket matched all five white balls and the Powerball to win the jackpot worth an estimated $315.3 million; $183.2 million cash value.
This is the fourth time the Powerball jackpot has been won this year. Previous jackpot wins in 2018 include:
January 6, 2018 – New Hampshire, $559.7 million
March 17, 2018 – Pennsylvania, $456.7 million
March 24, 2018 – Louisiana, $55.9 million
The winning numbers in the May 19 drawing were: 03-06-09-17-56, Powerball 25, Power Play 3X.
Five other tickets matched all five white balls in the May 19 drawing to win a $1 million prize. The Match 5 tickets were sold in Florida (2), Minnesota, New York and Texas.
The Powerball jackpot resets to $40 million for the Wednesday, May 23 drawing. The 10X multiplier will be in play as part of the Power Play® feature since the advertised annuitized jackpot is under $150 million.
