PARSIPPANY, NJ (Morris County) – The Sunrise Shoprite of Parsippany, located at 808 Route 46 West, sold one of two Jersey Cash 5 tickets that together won a $261,998 jackpot.
The Wood Cliff BP, located at 100 Woodcliff Ave., North Bergen sold the other ticket.
Two lucky tickets matched all five numbers drawn splitting the $261,998 Jersey Cash 5 jackpot from the Tuesday, May 22 drawing. Each ticket is worth $130,999. The winning numbers were: 05, 13, 14, 31 and 34 and the XTRA number was: 03. Those tickets were sold at the following locations:
Acting Executive Director John M. White said, “We are thrilled that the winning jackpot tickets were sold at Wood Cliff BP and Sunrise Shoprite of Parsippany. The retailers will receive a bonus check for $2,000 for each winning ticket sold. Overnight, they have become two more ‘lucky locations’ for the very fortunate lottery winners.”
White announced that there were 377,886 tickets purchased for the drawing. By adding XTRA, for an additional $1.00 per play, winners are able to multiply their non-jackpot prizes by the XTRA number drawn. For correctly matching four of the five numbers drawn, 56 ticketholders won $573 each and 9 others won $1,719 each with the addition of XTRA. Moreover, for correctly matching three of the five numbers drawn, 2,175 ticket holders won $16 each and 361 others won $48 each with the addition of XTRA. Lastly 4,807 ticketholders each won $2 for correctly matching two of the five numbers drawn with the addition of XTRA on their purchase.
