WATCH: Crowds turn out for annual Fourth of July Celebration at Rutherfurd Hall

ALLAMUCHY TOWNSHIP, N.J (Warren County) – Families and friends packed the lawn at Rutherfurd Hall on Saturday for its annual Fourth of July Celebration.

People started arriving in the afternoon and set up their tables, tents and food, to spend the evening with their loved ones.
Food vendors offered a wide variety of choices such as chicken fingers, hot dogs, pretzels and popcorn. Children lined up to buy ice cream, baked goods and cotton candy.

There was live music from the bands Uncle Shoehorn and Juke Box Riot.

Then at 9:20 p.m., the first of many fireworks streaked skyward and a collective awe could be heard emanating from those who watched. As the show progressed, excited children screamed as fireworks of many shapes and colors filled the sky. At the very end, applause could be heard from all who attended.

“I loved the fireworks,” three-year-old Kadence Hoover said.

“The best fireworks display,” Parsippany resident Barbara Ackerly said.

Everyone that RNJ spoke with said “they can’t wait until the 2017 celebration.”
