Firefighters battle 2-alarm fire in White Twp.

WHITE TOWNSHIP, N.J. (Warren County) – Firefighters from Warren and surrounding counties are on the scene of a fire this morning that was reported at 587 Route 519 in White Township.

The fire was first reported shortly after 1:00 a.m. Tuesday and was then elevated to two alarms. New Jersey State Police reported a fully involved building fire when arriving on scene, according to radio reports. The smaller of the two buildings located on the property, which records indicate the property is owned by Bridgeville Warehouses LLC, caught fire.

A telephone pole that contained three transformers also caught on fire, according to radio reports. Jersey Central Power & Light is reporting 44 customers without power in the area of the reported fire.

A New Jersey State Police Sergeant with the Washington station told RNJ this morning, “We have no information to release at this time.”

As of 5:30 a.m., some fire departments have been clearing from the scene.

Some of the fire departments that responded to the fire included Hope Township, Hackettstown, Independence Township, Belvidere, Mansfield, Oxford Township, Allamuchy Township, Washington Boro, Washington Township, Pohatcong Township, Harmony, Knowlton Township, Budd Lake (Morris County), Warren County fire coordinator and Warren County Fire Marshal.
