NEWTON, NJ (Sussex County) – A Newton man is facing charges after he allegedly broke into a vehicle at Sussex County Community College on Tuesday.
Christopher Aro, 18, was charged on Thursday with third-degree burglary and theft of movable property.
At 8:18 p.m., police received a report of a burglary to a motor vehicle on the campus of Sussex County Community College in which $80.00 cash was stolen from inside the center console, Newton Lieutenant Robert Osborn said.
An investigation by the Newton Police and with assistance of the college’s security department, led to the suspect being identified as Aro, Osborn said.
Aro was released pending his appearance in Sussex County Superior Court. However, the money was not recovered at this time, Osborn said.
