ROXBURY TOWNSHIP, NJ (Morris County) – A Roxbury High School senior was charged Tuesday for allegedly riding a dirt bike through the school’s hallways.
A Roxbury High School Senior, whose name was not released, rode a dirt bike through the hallway of the High School as a prank, police said.
Police said the handlebar of the dirt made contact with another student, causing a minor injury, police said.
He was arrested for Simple Assault and Disorderly Conduct and was release with a pending court date, police said.
Video of the incident posted on YouTube shows the student riding through the halls before being stopped by school officials and taken into police custody.
Gavin Fehsal, a student at Roxbury High School, told RNJ “at around 11:20 a.m. I was sitting at a table with a few of my friends in the media center when we heard a loud noise which made us automatically think of some sort of motorcycle. We opened the door closest to us and teachers and other staff members had already been peeking out of their rooms telling us to stay out of the way.”
“At first sight I had never seen such a thing during school hours, but I thought to myself, This kid is definitely not graduating from High School,” Fehsal said.
An email to Roxbury Superintendent Loretta Radulic seeking comment was not returned as of Tuesday night.
