RARITAN TOWNSHIP, NJ (Hunterdon County) – A 46-year-old Warren County man is facing charges after he allegedly eluded police in Raritan Township on Tuesday.
Delroy A. Smickle of Stewartsville, was charged with eluding, possession of under fifty grams of Marijuana, obstructing the administration of law, improper signaling, failure to keep right, unclear plate, uninsured motor vehicle, careless driving, possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle, littering, and maintenance of lamps.
At 1:55 p.m., Township Police Sergeant Robert Landolina attempted to stop Smickle for no front license plate and a broken rear taillight on State Highway Route 31 near Wescott Drive, police said.
Smickle failed to stop after Sgt. Landolina activated emergency lights and siren, police said.
Smickle finally pulled over in the area of 215 U.S. State Highway Route 202, police said.
