MANSFIELD TOWNSHIP, NJ (Warren County) – Mansfield Township police arrested and charged a Pennsylvania man Thursday after a traffic stop revealed he was wanted, according to police.
On June 7, at 10:26 a.m., a township police officer was following a vehicle after the officer observed suspicious activity, police said.
The vehicle turned off Route 57 onto Heiser Road and allegedly sped up to 47 mph in a 30 mph zone, crossed the double yellow lines, and then pulled into a long private driveway, police said.
The officer followed the vehicle up the driveway and the vehicle attempted to make a u-turn to head back down to the road and that’s when the officer stopped the vehicle, police said.
Robert J. Glancey, 55, of Kintnersville, Pa., who was the driver, was found to be a fugitive from Pennsylvania and had two other warrants with full extradition, police said.
During the police investigation, officers allegedly found stolen property from Walmart, a crack pipe, a small baggie that once contained methamphetamine, marijuana, and marijuana smoking pipes, police said.
Glancey was charged with being a fugitive from justice, shoplifting, possession of under 50 grams of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle, speeding, and failure to maintain lanes. He was lodged in the Warren County Jail pending extradition to Pennsylvania.
Amy L. Stone, 26, of Bloomsbury, NJ, who was a passenger in the vehicle, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. She was released pending a Court appearance.
