RNJ News Programs, the week of June 11th, 2018

“Help Brings Hope” – Wednesday, June 13th @ 10:05 a.m.

Presented by the Family Guidance Center of Warren County, RNJ News Director Joyce talks with staff and guests about the services available to Warren County residents. June is Men’s Health Month and during this program, Family Guidance Center Associate Executive Director Bill Stover and School Based Youth Services Program Director Jeff Greenfield discussed a variety of men’s health issues, including suicide.

“Newsline” – Thursday, June 14th @ 10:05 a.m.

In the first portion of the program, WRNJ News Director Joyce Estey welcomed Karen Blumenfeld, the Executive Director of the Global Advancement of Smoking Policy (G.A.S.P.) to discuss recent legislation to make New Jersey the first state in the nation to ban smoking and vaping at parks and beaches. In the second half of the program Joyce spoke with Joe Flynn, the Superintendent of Allamuchy Township School District and Jenn Gallegly, Principal of the Allamuchy Township  Schools. Joining them in the studio were Sergeant First Class Adam Drew and Sergeant Jim Bambara of the New Jersey State Police, Hope Barracks. Discussion focused on “LEAD” – Law Enforcement Against Drugs – a new program that has replaced DARE programs, partnering with law enforcement teaching students about the dangers of illegal drugs.
