CHESTER, NJ (Morris County) — Drivers might face a longer commute than typical for nine days this July when Route 206 is totally closed for construction.
The road will close entirely over Drakes Brook near Hermanne Drive, just before the Mount Olive border, so the bridge can be replaced. The tentative start date is Friday, July 6th, but that date is subject to change based on the weather.
Traffic will be detoured at Four Bridges Road. Motorists will make a right turn onto Bartley Road, then a right turn onto Bartley Chester Road or a left turn onto Bartley Flanders Road.
Speed limits will be strictly enforced.
