NEWTON, NJ (Sussex County) – A Bergen County man was sentenced to prison after pleading guilty to burglary and theft, according to the prosecutor’s office.
Christopher Kennedy, 32, of Rutherford was sentenced by the Honorable William J. McGovern III, J.S.C., at the Sussex County Courthouse in Newton on June 15.
On various dates during 2017, Kennedy entered cell phone facilities in Hardyston and took back-up batteries.
Kennedy was sentenced to three years in New Jersey state prison for burglary and to run concurrently with three years for theft. Both to run concurrently with existing New Jersey State Prison sentences. He was ordered to pay restitution of $32,628.96 and fines and fees totaling $280.00.
Kennedy pled guilty on April 5, to third-degree burglary and third-degree theft.
