NEWTON, NJ (Sussex County) – A Sussex man has entered a guilty plea to simple assault and criminal mischief charges, the prosecutor’s office said.
Thomas Carter, 40, pled guilty to simple assault and criminal mischief before the Honorable William J. McGovern, J.S.C., at the Sussex County Courthouse in Newton on June 25.
Carter allegedly admitted to grabbing his girlfriend’s child by the neck and breaking items in the home.
Carter is scheduled to be sentenced on August 10, 2018.
