Crowds brave the heat for annual Fourth of July Celebration at Rutherfurd Hall (VIDEO)

ALLAMUCHY TOWNSHIP, N.J (Warren County) – Despite the soaring temperatures, families and friends packed the lawn at Rutherfurd Hall on Saturday for its annual Fourth of July Celebration.

People started arriving in the afternoon under a blazing sun and set up their tables, tents and food, to spend the evening with their loved ones.

Food vendors offered a wide variety of choices such as gourmet style, ice cream and pretzels.

Children lined up to get their face painted by “Making Faces.”

There was live music from the bands Never Too Late and JukeBox Riot.

Then at 9:30 p.m. under clear skies, fireworks launched into the sky over Rutherfurd Hall as the large crowd oohed and aahed. At the very end, applause could be heard from all who attended.
