GREENWICH TOWNSHIP, NJ (Warren County) – Greenwich Township Police say a suspected seafood thief was charged with stealing more than $100 worth of seafood.
On July 9, police responded to ShopRite, located at 1207 Route 22, for the report of a female that was seen on their security cameras allegedly shoplifting $140.39 worth of various seafood items on July 6, police said.
A photo of the suspect was later posted to the Department Facebook page, and an investigation was conducted, police said.
On July 12, at around 1:21 p.m., police were again dispatched to ShopRite for a report of the same female inside the store, police said.
The female was identified as Nicole S. Ponton, 34, of Easton Pa. and she was arrested for the shoplifting on July 9, police said.
Ponton was charged with shoplifting and is scheduled to appear at the Greenwich Township Municipal Court on August 2, 2018 at 1:00 p.m.
