CHATHAM TOWNSHIP, NJ (Morris County) – The search is on for school vandals who allegedly caused several thousands of dollars worth of damage.
Chatham Township Police responded on July 12 to the Lafayette School, located at 221 Lafayette Ave, for a report of vandalism to the rear of the school, police said.
School officials reported that several exterior windows of the school had been broken and that a small fire had been set in the school courtyard which caused further damage to the property, police said.
The damage is estimated to cost several thousands of dollars to repair, police said.
Security video revealed that at approximately 3:00 a.m. three unknown individuals committed the acts of vandalism, police said.
