Aerial pesticide application for mosquito control planned for Friday in Independence Twp.

INDEPENDENCE TOWNSHIP, NJ (Warren County) – An aerial pesticide application for mosquito control is planned for Friday, July 27, according to Independence Township Police.

A granular substance, resembling kitty litter, will be applied to standing water by aircraft for the control of immature mosquitoes by the Warren County Mosquito Commission, police said.

The locations will be ​​​Youngs Island Rd (South), ​​​Herbies and ​​​the Drag Strip from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., police said.

The alternate dates will be ​July 28 and 29 from ​6:00  a.m. – 6:00 p.m., police said.

The aerial contractor will be ​Rebecca Lynn Flying Service, Inc. (RLFS) and the aircraft is a ​​​Cessna Ag Reg # N4890R.
