MORRIS TOWNSHIP, NJ (Morris County) – Morris Township police are searching for a man who they are calling armed and dangerous, according to Morris Township Police Chief Mark Dicarlo.
At around 8:30 p.m. on Saturday, police responded to a residence on Frederick Place for a report of an attempted burglary.
During the incident the suspect fired a shot, DiCarlo said. It wasn’t released if the shot was fired towards police.
The suspect fled the scene and is described as a black male, approximately 5’8”, wearing dark clothing and a hooded sweatshirt.
“A resident was home at the time of the incident and no one was hurt,” DiCarlo said.
There is no danger to the public at this time and the incident remains an active investigation, DiCarlo said.
