CHESTER, NJ (Morris County) – Chester police are investigating the theft of a motorcycle that occurred over the weekend.

The theft occurred sometime between Saturday night and Sunday afternoon, police said.

A green, 2015 BMW motorcycle Model R1200 was stolen from where it was parked on the street in the Dogwood section near South Road, police said.

While an active investigation is underway, police do not believe that the motorcycle theft was the work of an organized group but rather a local crime, police said.

Anyone having information regarding this theft is encouraged to contact Chester Police Detective Louis Capone at 908-879-5514 ext. 868 or directly at 908-888-2789.
