CHATHAM BOROUGH, N.J. (Morris County) – Authorities confirm that an armed robbery occurred Thursday, July 28 at 10:54 a.m. at Crescent Jewelers, located at 251 Main Street in Chatham Borough.
Police received a report of an armed robbery that had occurred earlier that morning at Crescent Jewelers in Chatham Borough, according to Morris County Prosecutor Fredric M. Knapp and Chatham Borough Police Chief Philip J. Crosson, Jr.
The preliminary investigation has revealed that two black males entered the store and ultimately stole an undetermined amount of jewelry. During this incident, a handgun was produced. The two suspects then exited the store and entered a Silver or Grey Jeep that was driven by a third black male, they said.
The following descriptions have been provided to law enforcement:
Suspect #1: Black male, wearing shorts and a red t-shirt.
Suspect #2: Black male wearing a traffic style vest.
Suspect #3: Black male, bald with a beard. (Vehicle Driver)
Through the assistance of the New Jersey State Police, two sketches have been produced depicting the actors involved in this incident.

This investigation remains active and ongoing, and no additional information will be released at this time, Knapp and Crosson said.
