MANSFIELD TWP, NJ– A drug bust in Mansfield Township yesterday morning is considered the largest in the township’s history. At around 10:15am on Port Murray Road an officer allegedly observed a car swerve across double yellow lines.
The officer conducted a motor vehicle stop and during the course of his investigation, became suspicious of the actions of the vehicle’s occupants. A consent search was subsequently performed. The search brought the seizure of a bag of drugs, namely heroin, cocaine, marijuana and MDMA or molly.
The drugs have an estimated street value of $160,000. Drug paraphernalia and $2450.00 in suspected drug money also seized. All 3 occupants of the car currently have Allentown PA, addresses, but formerly lived in Hackettstown.
The accused are 28 year old Angel Valardo, faces 12-drug-related charges and is being held in the Warren County Jail in default of $150,000 bail. 40 year old Andres Tirado-Flores faces drug dealing conspiracy charges and was also remanded to the Warren County Jail bail for Tirado-Flores is set at $50,000. Similar charges have also been rendered against 35 year old Laysa Cepeda also incarcerated in default of $50,000 bail.
7 agencies on the federal, county and local levels assisted in the investigation.
