Fast-acting man foils the plans of three teens attempting to break into his car

HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. (Warren County) – A fast-acting man foiled the plans of three teenagers who were allegedly attempting to break into his parked vehicle on Valentine St.
 
Two 14-year-olds and one 15-year-old, all from Hackettstown, attempted to break into the victim’s car on Saturday, July 30 at 8:33 p.m., police said.
 
The victim saw the teenagers opening his car door and then pursued one teenager and caught him at the intersection of Grand Avenue and Jefferson Street. The man then held onto the teen until police arrived, police said.
 
Police charged all three teens on August 12 and they are each charged with one count of criminal trespass. They were released pending a court appearance, police said.
