HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. (Warren County) – The Hackettstown Police Department, Hackettstown Medical Center, Mars Chocolate North America, WRNJ Radio, Inc. 92.7FM,104.7FM, 1510AM, QuickChek and WFMZ-TV 69 News would like to invite your organization to attend the 10th Annual Hackettstown Community Day.
This year’s event will take place on Saturday, October 1, 2016, from 11:00 a.m.- 4:00 p.m.
“Due to logistical issues, Community Day had to be moved from the Lowe’s parking lot,” Hackettstown Police Sgt. Darren Tynan said. “Hackettstown Medical Center was the perfect site to host the event.”
For the first time, Community Day will be held on the campus of Hackettstown Medical Center, in the rear parking lot of the Willow Grove Medical Plaza (653 Willow Grove St., Hackettstown).
“We’re very pleased to be hosting Community Day this year,” said Jason Coe, President Hackettstown Medical Center. “The Hackettstown community built this hospital, so we always appreciate any opportunity to give back and share information about all we offer here at Hackettstown Medical Center. We look forward to seeing our friends and neighbors on October 1st!.”
In years past, this event has drawn well over 2,500 attendees and we’re hoping that even larger crowds attend this year. Community Day is geared toward public awareness of the various non-profit agencies, local businesses, clubs and organizations. Interactive displays, food and giveaways will be provided by local businesses, and everything at Community Day is free to the public.
WRNJ 1510AM 92.7FM 104.7FM will broadcast live from the event, courtesy of Mars Chocolate North America. WFMZ-TV 69 News and local papers will also advertise the event.
Entertainers (clowns, face painters, musicians, etc.) who would like to donate their time are encouraged to participate. Entertainment sponsors will be given prime display space next to the activity however, in keeping with the “free” nature of this event; no sale of items is permitted.
If you’re interested in attending or donating to this popular event please contact Sgt. Darren Tynan at (908)852-3302, or via email at hpd34@hackettstownpd.net . There is no charge for anyone wishing to participate in the event.
“The Police Department looks forward to partnering with Hackettstown Medical Center and Atlantic Health Systems with this event,” Tynan added.
