Strong winds continue to blow through NorthWest New Jersey this morning(4/3/16) cutting power to thousands of JCP&L customers, according to the utility company.
As of 7:45 AM, JCP&L reporting 260 customers in Sussex County, 552 customers in Warren County, 5,931 customers in Morris County and 2,444 customers in Hunterdon County are without power.
“We are experiencing power outages due to severe weather and are assessing damage. We will provide estimated restoration times when they are available,” according to JCP&L.
To report a power outage to JCP&L call 1-888-LIGHTSS (1-888-544-4877).
Driving could be difficult with the strong winds, particularly in high-profile vehicles, and forecasters advised securing lightweight outdoor objects such as patio furniture and garbage cans.

NEWARK 5:51 AM 55 mph
ANDOVER 5:54 AM 30 mph

A High Wind Warning remains in place through noon across all of NorthWest New Jersey.
