HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. (Warren County) – A 19-year-old Hackettstown man, who was allegedly trying to retrieve his shoelaces from a friend, gets charged for being disorderly.
Town police responded to the 100 block of Main St on Friday, September 2 at 2:05 a.m. for a report of a disorderly male inside an apartment building, police said.
As police arrived at the complex, officers observed a male exiting the building, police said.
Jorge Tapia had been drinking as well as yelling and knocking at his friend’s apartment in an attempt to retrieve his shoelaces, police said.
Tapia continued to be argumentative and refused to listen to the officer’s commands, police said.
Tapia was charged with disorderly conduct and was released pending a court appearance.
