WHITE TOWNSHIP, N.J. (Warren County) – The New Jersey State Police is seeking the public’s assistance with identifying two men suspected of stealing 51 cartons of cigarettes from the QuickChek located at the intersection of Route 46 and County Route 519 in White Township.
According to state police, on Wednesday, September 7 at 3:40 a.m., the suspect in blue distracted a store employee while the suspect in red snatched 51 cartons of Marlboro and Newport brand cigarettes.
The two males left in a dark-blue Chevrolet Malibu or Impala, police said.
“Where there’s smoke, there’s fire. These guys must really love cigarettes, or they love selling them to make a quick buck. We suspect the latter,” state police wrote on their Facebook page.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Tpr. II Rob Sanchis of Washington Station at 908-689-3101. Anonymous tips are also welcome.
