Hackettstown, NJ – The Hackettstown Business Improvement District with WRNJ Radio and Wells Fargo, will hold the 4th Annual Scarecrow Contest presented by Visions Federal Credit Union. HKTWN BID businesses will be displaying Scarecrows around town in this year’s theme: Kids Animated Movies, taking inspiration from diverse characters, creepy and cute alike. Look out for favorite characters at your favorite shops. The contest runs from October 17th-November 18th.
Last year, Hackettstown Health Foods, now located at 106 East Moore St., was the winner with a great scarecrow creation of Count Dooku from Star Wars.
This year, the BID invites visitors and residents to take a Scarecrow Selfie, and submit the photo to staff@hackettstownbid.com or message through Facebook. The BID will create a Facebook photo album where everyone can vote for his or her favorite—one like per person per photo entry. The selfie with the most likes will win $25 in BID Bucks to spend at any business in Hackettstown.
HKTWN BID Executive Director Jim Sheldon said, “Our business owners and the community have enjoyed the Scarecrow Contest and we look forward to seeing their creative scarecrows designs on display. The excitement of Halloween encourages visitors to enjoy all the scarecrows around town, and to take a Scarecrow Selfie.”
