MANSFIELD TOWNSHIP, N.J. (Warren County) – Police arrested three Sussex County residents on drug charges following a traffic stop in Mansfield Township.
Police stopped a vehicle, driven by Brandee L. Grieco, 23, of Sussex, N.J., on Wednesday, November 2 at 5:33 p.m. along Route 57 for an inspection violation.
A passenger in the vehicle, Thomas A. Grieco, 28, of Wantage, N.J., provided the officer with a false name, even though his real name appeared on a hospital ID bracelet on his wrist. He was found to be wanted out of Sussex County on a no bail warrant, police said.
A subsequent search of Grieco turned up six bags of heroin in his pants, police said.
Police said Brandee Grieco was found to be in possession of six bags of heroin, which were hidden in her bra.
Another passenger, Cheyenne Schultz, 22, of Franklin, N.J., was found to be in possession of a hypodermic needle, police said.
Thomas Grieco was charged with hindering his apprehension, possession of heroin and was then turned over to the Sussex County Sheriff’s Department.
Brandee Grieco was charged with possession of heroin and Schultz was charged with possession of a hypodermic needle. Both were released pending a court appearance.
Police said they also located an additional hypodermic needle and two empty baggies containing powder residue from inside the vehicle.
