HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. (Warren County) – Police are looking for a suspect who allegedly broke into a Hackettstown gas station and took cigarettes early Tuesday morning, police said.
At 4:44 a.m., police responded to the CITGO gas station at 17 Route 57 in reference to a burglary.
The suspect allegedly broke out the glass from a side door to gain entry and then stole an undetermined amount of cigarettes, according to police.
The burglary occurred at the gas station between 12:00 a.m. and 1:00 a.m. Tuesday morning, police said.
The suspect is only being described as wearing all black, police said.
Police are asking anyone with information or that might have seen something suspicious in the area of CITGO Gas Station during the time of the burglary to contact the Hackettstown Police Department at 908-852-3302 or text TIP HACKPD followed by your message to 888-777.
Assisting at the scene was the Mansfield Twp K-9 unit.
