Today is Thanksgiving across the United States.
-Local, state and federal government offices will be closed.
-Libraries will be closed.
-Banks will be closed.
-No mail will be delivered. UPS and FedEx workers will be off.
-Many supermarkets will be open with shortened hours today. Shoppers should check with local food stores for specific hours.
-Many stores will open on Thanksgiving for shoppers to get an early start on Black Friday deals:
- JCPenny stores open at 3 p.m.
- Old Navy is scheduled to open at 4 p.m.
- Best Buy, Macy’s, Toys’R’Us and Bonton will open their doors at 5 p.m.
- Walmart, Target, Kohl’s and Sears will all open at 6 p.m.
–NJ Transit will operate on a holiday schedule, which will reduce service on both Thursday. Friday will also have a modified service.
-The PATH will follow a Saturday schedule. On Friday, it will operate on a modified weekday schedule.
