Washington Township, Morris County Police confirm that a traffic accident near the Target store on Route 46 led to a power outage affecting as many as 500 in the local area.
The accident involved a single vehicle which ended up in a ditch along the roadway. It also knocked out power to the traffic signals at the intersection of 46 and Hearthstone Road. Police are on the scene assisting with traffic. For now, there is no estimated time that the power will be restored. JCP&L workers are enroute.
