HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. (Warren County) – Thousands of spectators were treated to beautiful weather and more than 500 cars and trucks Sunday during the Hackettstown Rotary Club’s 23rd annual Memorial Motor Madness car show at Mars Chocolate North America on High St in Hackettstown.
Rotarian and car show committee chair Joan Westpy said, Funds raised by the event will be funneled directly back into the community.
“One of the biggest reasons why this show is so popular is because people know that a lot of different organizations will benefit from it, like the ARC of Warren County, The Joan Knechel Cancer Center, local food pantries and several others rely on the funds donated by the car show to boost their operations,” Westpy said.
Local DJ favorite Doc South served as the emcee and he spun the oldies all day. At noontime, he asked for a moment of silence for the country’s veterans and members in service, and then played the National Anthem by Whitney Houston.
The 24th annual Memorial Motor Madness car show is scheduled for Sunday, May 27, 2018.
The car show sponsors include Mars Chocolate North America,Autosport Chevrolet, Hackettstown Medical Center, Honda of Hackettstown, Smith Motor Company, Centenary University, Johnson Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram, Hackettstown Hyundai, WRNJ Radio, Inc., and Warren County Community College.
