WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP, NJ (Warren County) – A fawn was reunited with her mother after she gave birth in Washington Township.
The fawn was birthed inside a fenced in yard and the mother could hop the fence but the fawn couldn’t, according to a post on the Washington Township Police Facebook page.
A family dog found the fawn and met an angry mother deer, police said.
Animal Control Officer Rob Lagonera came out and reunited the deer with its mother. He would like us to remind the Washington Township residents that they may contact him for wildlife calls as well, police said.
“Thanks Rob, keep up the good work,” Washington Township Police said.
