MOUNT OLIVE TOWNSHIP, NJ (Morris County) – A Hackettstown man has been charged with burglary after he allegedly broke into 2 vehicles in the Drakestown Road area.

At 7:35 a.m. on Saturday, a resident of Drakestown Road reported she found a male in her car, which was parked in her driveway, trying to remove her items from the car. The male ran off, and her son drove around trying to find him, police said.

As an officer responded to the area, the officer located a male matching the description that was given to the dispatcher by the victim, police said.

The suspect refused to cooperate with police or give his name. Upon further investigation, the suspected was identified as Kyle Sallie, 25, of Hackettstown, NJ. He was arrested for burglary to 2 motor vehicles in the area of Drakestown Road, police said.

Sallie was charged with two counts of burglary to a motor vehicle, theft of movable property and obstruction of the administration of law. He was then lodged in the Morris County Correctional Facility without bail.

Sallie was in possession of items that may belong to additional victims. Anyone who has further information regarding this ongoing investigation is encouraged to contact Officer Christopher Saunders at 973-691-0850.
