HACKETTSTOWN, NJ (Warren County) – A 4-year-old girl’s Power Wheels Mustang that was stolen earlier this week has been returned but she will end up with a new ride.
The blue Power Wheels Mustang that was stolen from the front lawn of a residence on the 100 block of Willow Grove St Monday was returned to its owner at 11:00 p.m. Thursday, police said.
The suspect told the victim that her friends saw the news stories about the stolen Mustang and told her to return the vehicle, police said,
“The female who took the Mustang thought it was garbage,” police said.
The victim didn’t want the person to be arrested and was just happy the Mustang was returned, police said.
Prior to the Mustang being returned, an anonymous person along with Dr. James Fedich from Village Family Clinic donated money to purchase a new Power Wheels Mustang for the child, police said.
The new ride won’t go to waste because the original Mustang didn’t run after it was returned. Her knew ride will arrive next week, police said.
“The child was extremely happy that her Mustang was returned but is happier now that she is getting one that will run,” police said.
