HOPATCONG BOROUGH, NJ (Sussex County) – An Hopatcong woman was charged for allegedly driving while intoxicated with a child in the car.
Jennifer Krip, 47, is facing multiple charges following a traffic stop on Flora Ave earlier this month.
Hopatcong police initiated the traffic stop at 4:19 p.m. on July 15 for Krip allegedly driving erratically and for the muffler not working properly, police said.
While investigating, police determined that Krip allegedly had been consuming alcoholic beverages. There was a male passenger in the front seat and his 10-year-old child in the rear passenger seat, police said.
Krip was charged with third-degree endangering the welfare of a child, DWI, DWI with a minor in the vehicle, DWI within a school zone, reckless driving, failure to maintain lane, noisy muffler and no insurance on the vehicle
Krip was released to a friend pending a court appearance.
