Tuber rescued from Delaware River in White Twp. (PHOTOS)

WHITE TOWNSHIP, NJ (Warren County) – A tuber was rescued from the Delaware River Thursday after a resident on Foul Rift Road heard people calling for help.

Shortly after 5:00 p.m., emergency crews were dispatched to the Delaware River across from Martins Creek Power Plant for a report of tubers in distress.

New Jersey State Police responded to the rocky shore where they found a juvenile female out of the water and a male still in the river.

Rescuers waded into the river and helped the male out of the water.

The male was transported to a local hospital by the Lopatcong emergency squad and the juvenile female was not injured.

Assisting the Belvidere fire and rescue squad was Harmony fire, Phillipsburg fire and rescue and the Hunterdon County paramedic unit.
