HACKETTSTOWN, NJ (Warren County) – A 78-year-old Long Valley man has died Saturday after falling from a step ladder, according to police.
At 11:18 a.m., town police and first responders were dispatched to the 200 block of Main St regarding a male that fell approximately 5 feet from a step ladder, police said.
Responders found the man lying on the sidewalk breathing but in and out of consciousness. He was then taken by NorthSTAR medevac to Morristown Medical Center, police said.
Police said the man, whose name was not released by authorities, was tapping a sign on the building when for an unknown reason he fell off the step ladder.
The man was pronounced dead Saturday evening, police said.
Assisting at the scene was the Saint Clare’s Paramedics.
