Hackettstown police arrest man with stun gun, alcohol

HACKETTSTOWN, NJ (Warren County) – A 20-year-old Perth Amboy man is facing multiple charges including possession of a stun gun following a traffic stop Thursday evening.

Adonis Caba was stopped by police at 8: 57 p.m. on Beatty St for a moving violation, police said.

While the officer was talking to Caba the officer detected the odor of marijuana coming from inside the vehicle, police said.

Through an investigation, police determined that Caba allegedly had in his possession a stun gun, a bottle of New Amsterdam mango flavored vodka, a fraudulent Connecticut driver’s license, police said.

Caba was charged with possession of a stun gun, possession of a false government issued ID, possession of alcohol under legal age and maintenance of lamps. He was released pending a court appearance.

Assisting at the scene was K-9 Jada.
