Warren County–The veterans of The American Legion, Carl D. Archer Post 528 of White Township and the White Township Committee will be holding the dedication of the newly established permanent POW/MIA memorial at the Oscar Unangst Memorial Fields in White Twsp. on CR 519 So. on September 15 at 6pm. (just before RT 46 and White Twsp School and Municipal Bldg. ) A brief ceremony will be held honoring and recognizing local POWs.
We cordially invite community residents, Boy Scout Troop 146, and our local, county and state elected officials to attend to show your appreciation and gratitude for those men and women who have fought and were imprisoned as POWs.
Two former WWII POWs – Joe Federico and Bernie Miller have been invited as our honored guests as well as Dawn Piazza, daughter of Jesse W. Dalrymple, Jr., WWII POW.
We will be holding the ceremony outside so please bring a chair, as program will run about 30-45 minutes.
Light refreshments will be served following the ceremony.
